Who IAN is for
- Pharma QC microbiology labs that want faster bioburden, water and environmental monitoring results.
- Export-oriented plants where audits and data integrity are under close watch.
- Food and beverage plants that hold product until micro results clear.
If your team spends days waiting for plates before a batch can move, IAN is built for you.
How IAN works
- 1PrepareTVC cap
- 2LoadInto IAN
- 3Count~15 minutes later
IAN uses solid-phase cytometry: microorganisms from the liquid sample are captured, labelled and scanned. Artificial intelligence then classifies what the scan finds and reports a count. Because nothing has to grow, the full test takes about 15 minutes.
- Prepare the sample with the ready-to-use TVC cap.
- Load it into IAN.
- Read the count about 15 minutes later.

| Interface | 7-inch touch screen, status light strip, USB port |

Applications
- Bioburden — raw materials, intermediates, WFI and process water
- Sterility testing of filterable final products
- Environmental monitoring — surfaces, people and air
- Out-of-specification investigations — fast re-testing when a result is out of limit
What changes in daily lab work
- Fewer plates to incubate and read for the tests you move to IAN.
- Same-shift decisions on water loops and intermediates.
- Simpler consumables — one ready-to-use cap instead of several media and reagents.
- Electronic records designed for data-integrity requirements.
Installation and qualification
Our engineers deliver IAN, install it and execute IQ/OQ/PQ in your lab, using protocols from Microbs or Pharma Biotech. Your team is trained on routine use, and an AMC keeps the system maintained. See the full validation path on the Rapid Microbial Testing page.

FAQ
How long does a test take?
About 15 minutes from sample to result.
Does it need incubation?
No. IAN detects microorganisms directly, without a growth step.
What is the limit of detection?
1 microorganism per sample.
Is it compliant with data-integrity rules?
Yes, IAN is 21 CFR Part 11 compliant.
What consumables does it use?
A ready-to-use TVC cap per test, with no enrichment step.
Who validates the system in my lab?
Our engineers execute IQ/OQ/PQ on site, using protocols from Microbs or Pharma Biotech.
